Nov 28th is a day we come together as a community to help feed our most vulnerable citizens in Downtown Greater Sudbury. On this #GivingTuesday, please join us and consider donating a few dollars to the Elgin Street Mission here: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/6605
This year has been exceptionally challenging as the world pandemic has caused much change throughout the world. For the Elgin Street Mission, it has brought some challenges which include our service delivery.
Yet, through it all the Lord has remained faithful, whenever there was a need, we quickly saw that need met. One of the positive aspects of COVID-19 is that it has brought increased awareness throughout our community highlighting the issues in the downtown core. We have seen a huge increase in the number of people wanting to help. We have had numerous calls for donations and for volunteer opportunities.
This year we had the opportunity to partner with the City of Greater Sudbury to provide delivered meals to two shelter locations throughout the city. As we continue to see the needs our those experiencing homelessness the Elgin Street Mission will be there with a helping hand.
For myself and our staff team I can safely say that we count it a privilege to serve our clients each and every day.
