Sudbury photographer George Bardeggia is back with another photographic calendar fundraiser. His 13-month 2025 Bell Park calendar is on sale now for $20.
As Bardeggia did last year and the year before, a portion of the gross proceeds from the sales of the calendar will be donated equally between Maison McCulloch Hospice and the Elgin Street Mission.
Last year, the fundraiser brought in $1,000. Bardeggia’s goal this year is to donate $1,500.
The photos for each month were taken by Bardeggia, save the month of June which features a photo of Bell Park main beach from the 1940s taken by his late father-in-law, George Bulmer.
Calendars can be ordered by emailing bell.park.calendar@vianet.ca and providing a name, address, postal code and phone number.
They are also available in person at the following locations:
- A J Home Hardware Bouchard St Lockerby
- Second Avenue Home Hardware Minnow Lake
- Garson Home Hardware Falconbridge Road Garson
- Skakoon Home Hardware Montague St in the Donovan
- Lively Pharmacy, Main Street in Lively
- Elgin Street Mission downtown
- Maison McCulloch Hospice university area.
Bardeggia told Sudbury.com last year the initiative is about giving back and supporting the efforts of two organizations that work with people at vulnerable times in their lives.
“My wife and I have been personally supporting both the Elgin Street Mission and the Maison McCulloch Hospice (as well as the Sudbury Food Bank and Salvation Army) over the past number of years,” he said. “We are committed to helping those who provide care and social assistance in our community and felt that the Mission is doing great work with the homeless and the Hospice is providing a much needed and free service to those who are at the end of their life and their families.”
